How to configure Internet Explorer to have more than two download sessions
If you've ever found the default number of simultaneous downloads (two) in Internet Explorer frustrating, this How-to will bring a big smile to your face.
Important: This article contains information about modifying the registry. Before you modify the registry, make sure to back it up and make sure that you understand how to restore the registry if a problem occurs.

If you want to create your own follow these instructions:
- Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
- Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft... ...\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
- On the Edit menu, point to New click DWORD Value, and then add the following registry values:

- Value name: MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
Value data: 10
Base: Decimal
- Value Name: MaxConnectionsPerServer
Value data: 10
Base: Decimal
- Quit Registry Editor.
